About Us
Spot’s Place is a registered 501(c)(3) foster based rescue, designed to help the most in-need, homeless adult dogs locally and from Southern Shelters. Our care, compassion, and dedication to these often overlooked dogs from difficult backgrounds is our life’s calling, and we are excited to share it with you.
The need to get adult dogs out of shelters here in Massachusetts is at crisis level.
Spot’s Place will provide a safe, loving “place” that helps these often abused, abandoned, and neglected animals find a foster home where they can decompress. With time, patience, training, and love, our goal is to guide them to become dogs who can be successful in their future adoptive families.
The dogs that will be placed in our program will come from a variety of backgrounds, from locally here in Massachusetts; to some older dogs that have been sitting for years with Southern Rescue Volunteers who share our same love and respect for these living angels.
Spot’s Place will take our time to push for the best adoptive home for our pups, and will follow you through fostering all the way to adopting. We believe in a strong support system for these dogs before, during, and after adoption. When Spot’s Place takes in a dog, we become their advocate, and will always place the dogs needs before anything else.
Spot’s Place will also work closely with local animal control to provide supplies for the dogs in their care, such as food, leashes, and collars. This dedication will also apply to our amazing southern volunteers, by sending them cleaning supplies, kennels, veterinary help, and dog food.
